Principals Message

Welcome to the new school year. To all our returning families – we look forward to continuing to develop our relationship with you as partners in the education, citizenship and lifelong learning for your children. A special welcome to all our new families, including those children (and families) just starting in Kindergarten to those children (and families) who are coming to our school from Pre-primary to Year 6.

Excelsior Independent Public School is an exciting place to learn academically, to make friends socially, to reinforce your values and social skills, to appreciate different cultures, to develop your creative skills in music performance, dance and art and to develop your physical skills and abilities through games and activities.

As an Independent Public School (IPS), Excelsior is well placed to cater for the needs and aspirations of all students by allocating resources where they will be used most effectively.

The Parent Handbook explains many of the policies, procedures and organisational aspects adopted at Excelsior Primary School. Please browse through the Handbook and then store the booklet in a safe place for future reference.

Schools are very dynamic and unique places making it necessary to implement changes to some policies and procedures as the year progresses. The school newsletter, CONNECT and the website  will be used to keep parents informed about any changes that are made during the year. Newsletters will be available on CONNECT and our website as the newsletters become available, usually on a Thursday.

We wish every family and staff member a safe, happy and successful year at Excelsior.
